Wrinkle report

Wrinkles and fine lines are caused by the breakdown of collagen and elastin in the skin. Collagen fibres strengthen the skin, while elastin helps the skin stretch and return to its original shape.

As we age, the body loses its ability to produce collagen and elastin.

Gender: Female
Age: 58
Treatment target: Crow’s feet wrinkles

The objective of treatment for this patient was to reduce the appearance of the wrinkles and lines located in the outer corners of her eyes.

The patient first attended the clinic presenting with deep wrinkles and superficial lines in the outer corners of her eyes. Consultation revealed that she spent a lot of time being outdoors.

After the first two weeks of treatment, her fine lines began to reduce. Two weeks later the fine lines had reduced even further and the deeper wrinkles had begun to reduce. The outer area of her eyes also appeared lifted and tightened. At the end of five weeks, the fine lines had completely cleared, the deeper wrinkles appeared softer and less noticeable, and her skin overall looked naturally firmer and taut.

Five weeks of treatment saw this patient’s crow’s feet wrinkles reduce to a point where they no longer looked harsh and obvious, appearing more youthful.
